Dry skins traditionally ran away from powder, screaming in horror. No more, thanks to a clever new product from Clarins.
Skin Illusion Mineral Loose Powder Foundation has been developed so that ALL skin types can experience its greatness.
The powder was developed to not sit in fine lines and wrinkles or dry-out the skin. Instead, light reflecting pigments, minerals and a host of plant extracts were added to create a powder that not only covers fine lines and imperfections, it also moisturizes and treats the skin.
I use it on my skin on hot days, so it’s good for absorbing the (minuscule) excess oil, without going hideously cakey. It’s available in 6 shades, that go up to a 114 Cappuccino, which is sadly not very dark. Clarins made the decision not to make darker ones, as it was found to not work as well with the darker pigments. Girls with dark skins should rather opt for the one of their other Matte foundations and powders, as they can deliver a better colour.
The Skin Illusion Mineral Loose Powder Foundation is available at all Clarins stands now for R375.
