You know Spring is nearly here when Elizabeth Arden launches a new Green Tea scent.
This year they are treating us to Green Tea Yuzu. The scent combines citrus with herbal notes – just in time for the sun to reappear.
The perfumer of the new fragrance is Rodrigo Flores-Roux, who says of the fragrance; “There’s an uplifting, refreshing beauty and elemental purity that the Yuzu fruit can bring to the senses, whether you experience it in tea, cuisine or even for therapeutic purposes. I was inspired by these unique properties, and wanted to pair them with notes that I felt reflected the lively and lighthearted personality of the fragrance wearer.”
The scent opens to an intensely fresh top note of Yuzu zest, sheer bergamot, sparkling lemon, green tea vapours and lemon tree petitgrain. The heart introduces uplifting notes of Yuzu pulp accord, Tunisian Neroli, wild thyme, spearmint, black currant buds and green tea leaves. The base note is a comforting one with musk, white birch and Ambrette seed.
The iconic shape of the bottle stays the same, but this time is decorated with chopped yuzu rings, Japanese glyphs, blossoms and green tea leaves.
Green Tea Yuzu is available from today in 50ml EDT, R265 and 100ml EDT, R365.
