Local aromatherapy brand, SOiL now has a great online store.
A few weeks ago they asked me to try it out to see what I thought of it. First impressions were good – the landing page is clean and well laid out. As there are only three categories (Aromatherapy, Body Care and Treemendous), it’s very easy to navigate around.
The category pages are just as good, but can only be sorted by name (ie alphabetically). The one thing I noticed is that you can only have up 30 products a page. Which on the Body Care and Treemendous pages is not a problem, as there are less than 30 items, but the Aromatherapy section has 79, so there is some finger work involved. But with that many products, you’d have to scroll anyway.
Each item has a dedicated information page and image, and adding products your cart is easy. There is free delivery nationwide on all orders over R300 and my order got to me in 3 working days.
I ordered three of my faves: Rose Geranium Essential Oil, which is constantly burning in our house (but which has bizarrely disappeared from their site now…?), Balancing Soy Wax Melts, R50 for 8, that are rose geranium, sandalwood, cedarwood and marjoram domes of delight. You simply pop them into a burner and leave them to do their thing. And finally I got an Uplifting Coconut Organic Soy Wax Candle, R220, which is deliciously scented with grapefruit and lemongrass.
If you’re keen to give them a try for yourself, let me know your favourite SOiL product over on Twitter or FB, tagging both Rouge and SOiL in your post. You’ve only got until 5pm on Friday 10 July 2015 to enter.
