{ What to pack } Winter Mini Break

If you follow me on social media, you would have seen that we went away last weekend.

We went to White Lion Lodge in Sanbona Wildlife Reserve for three days of outdoorsy, animal adventures, and then onto the Arabella Hotel and Spa in Kleinmond for some R&R before the bubs arrives. (I’ll be doing a post on White Lion Lodge over on my travel site next week, so keep an eye out for it if you want more info on the lodge.)

I travel a lot, but I still find packing for a month far easier than packing for a few days. I always seem to take too much, especially in winter. With that in mind, here are the beauty products I took…

Mini Break Products

Moroccanoil Treatment is an everyday staple that I always take with me when I go away. I got this sample bottle at an airport somewhere, and just refill it.

Cetaphil Restoraderm Skin Restoring Body Moisturiser is a super hydrating body cream – especially great for after extended time outdoors in winter.

L’Occitane Almond Cleansing and Softening Oil is one of my favourite nourishing shower oil in cooler weather. This is one of the travel sizes they sell as part of their main line.

Bioderma Hydrabio Riche Moisturising Cream keeps skins comfortable in winter winds. It absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave a sticky residue.

Noreva Universal Micellar Cleansing Lotion is a great cleanser to use after Bioderma Sensibio. I prefer milky cleansers to foaming ones, especially in winter. This one leaves my skin silky soft, too.

Eucerin Sun Tinted Face CC Crème SPF50 in Fair delivers both a hint of colour as well as broad spectrum sun protection.

Letibalm is basically a thicker version of Eight Hour Cream. It repairs damaged skin and protects it from further damage – perfect for lips and noses on cold early morning game drives.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream is the ultimate all-in-one product for dry lips, nails, patches and anything else you can think of. I never leave the house without a tube, so would never travel without it.

Uriage Eau Thermale D’Uriage is great for topping up hydration on the go. It contains trace elements and mineral salts to keep the skin healthy.

Bioderma Sensibio H20 Micelle Solution is my all-time favourite makeup remover, and when I’m not wearing makeup it works a treat as a cleanser.

Philip Kingsley Body Building Shampoo and Conditioner is another old favourite. They used to be available in travel kits, but I don’t think these are available in South Africa anymore, sadly.
