Thanks to Chanel your Christmas list just got a little longer.
Synthetic de Chanel is a Christmas collection with a twist. Instead of traditional gold and berry shades, Lucia Pica looked to cityscapes for inspiration.
Contrasting urban textures and hues create an unexpected take on holiday festivities.
The hero of the collection is the, quite frankly, exquisite Architectonic Eye Shadow Palette (R1025). The palette is 5 shades, with 3 shimmering grey tones accompanied by two matte navy and chocolate brown ones. The shadows are complimented by an inky black gel liner; Calligraphie de Chanel in Hyperblack (R560).
The eye products in isolation make the look seem dark and moody, but fear not, the darkness ends there, as the nails, lips and cheeks are treated to an explosion of pink, red and mirror shades that lift the collection into holiday mode.
The cheeks are given a pop of colour with Joues Contrast in Hyperfresh (R720) and the lips adorned with two Rouge Allure shades; UltraRose and UtraBerry (R610 each) and two Rouge Allure Glosses; Super Nude and Super Coral (R595 each).
The perfect finish is a little nail frosting from Le Vernis Longwear Liquid Mirror (my favourite product in the whole collection) and Hyperose Glass. But if shine isn’t your thing, try the curve ball Le Vernis Velvet in Pink Rubber (R450).
The collection is available now at all Chanel counters, and all of the products are limited edition, with the exception of Calligraphie de Chanel in Hyperblack, which is an ongoing launch.
