Every girl needs a La Petite Robe Noire
September and October are the biggest months for fragrance launches, and this year is no exception.
To get through them, I’ve decided to have a fragrance week, where I’ll introduce you to the biggest launches of the season. The first is from Guerlain.
In 2009 Guerlain released a limited edition fragrance called La Petite Robe Noire. This year they have launched it into the mass market as a permanent line.
Inspired by the eternal wardrobe classic, the LBD (la petite robe noire means little black dress), the scent is Parisian chic in a bottle.
It opens to the sweet, foresty scent of black cherry, almond, red berries and bergamot. This gives way to a floral heart of Bulgarian and Turkish roses accented with smoked black tea and licorice. At the base, you are met with tonka bean, vanilla, iris, aniseed and patchouli.
