As I mentioned in my post on Sunday, I’ve got something quite exciting for you today.
I have a R5000 voucher for one lucky reader to spend on the new Thomas Sabo South Africa site.
To give you some inspiration, this is what I’d spend R5000 on.
I grew up very close to the beach and have always loved the sea. Some people love star shapes, others hearts, but I love the shape of anchors (I have an anchor tattoo). And my dada was a Captain in the merchant navy, so it’s symbol that has strong meaning in my family, too.
We all know the saying ‘to give the evil eye’, but in Middle Eastern culture, they take it very seriously, so much so that they created a symbol to protect against it.
Nazars date back as far as the Phoenicians, but were most popular with the Turkish Ottoman Empire. You’ll find them all over Turkey adoring doorways, clothing, laptops, jewellery and pretty much anything else.
Istanbul is one of my favourite cities, so this Nazar is just a reminder of my travels.
I’d pop them onto the 90cm Circle Silver Charm Necklace, as I love that the simplicity of it allows the charms to be the feature, rather than the chain.
Now, back to the giveaway. I have a R5000 online voucher for the Thomas Sabo South Africa site for one lucky reader.
To enter, have a browse of the Thomas Sabo site, and choose your favourite charm. Then pop over to either Instagram or Facebook and comment on my Thomas Sabo posts with the emoji that best describes your favourite charm. (Make sure you’re following Thomas Sabo on Instagram or Facebook too).
The giveaway is only open to South African residents, and entries will close at 5pm on Friday 11 May 2018.
