The Collection Grand Crus is basically a travel journal of scents, each inspired by their namesake. These two are my favourites; Arz El-Rab is a spicy, woody scent that is inspired by the cedar forest of Lebanon. Arz el-Rab means ‘Cedars of God’. The scent is finished with notes of ginger and iris to instantly transport you to the Levant. Assam of India is a nod to the rich Indian tradition of tea growing and brewing. Black Assam tea notes are combined with lemon and sandalwood in this fresh, warming scent. This Heritage Day 🇿🇦 I wanted to give a shou This Heritage Day 🇿🇦 I wanted to give a shout-out to veteran local ‘green’ brand, Earthsap. I’ve used their products on and off or years, and they were one of the first widely available local brands to focus on using fewer synthetic ingredients in their products. They recently sent me their Lavender & Juniper Berry Foam Bath (R70) and Pine Forest Body Wash (R95). Now, I usually consume my juniper berries distilled, in a tall glass, with tonic, so having it in skincare was a new take. I don’t bath very often, and because my daughter’s skin reacts to lavender, I’ve been using this as a hand wash. It works very well, as it has great foaming properties (even for a more natural formula). The Pine Forest won’t be to everyone’s taste because the scent is quite specific, but I love its fresh notes. Both clean the skin without drying it out. If you’re looking for an affordable, more ‘natural’ brand, you won’t go wrong with Earthsap. #gifted
