The Body Shop Extra Virgin Minerals range

Seeing that all-natural make-up is still fairly difficult to come by in South Africa, The Body Shop has a great alternative.

Their Extra Virgin Minerals range, although not 100% natural, contains some great natural ingredients. The colour comes courtesy of finely milled minerals and the hydrating powers are thanks to Community Fair Trade extra virgin olive oil, cultivated using traditional organic method by a co-op in southern Italy. Don’t be scared of the olive oil – all the products have been dermatologically tested, and won’t clog your pores. The products are also fragrance and paraben free.

Compact Cream-to-Powder

There are 3 versions available: Compact Foundation SPF15, R205; Liquid Foundation SPF20, R195 and Loose Powder Foundation SPF25, R185. The Compact delivers the most coverage with its cream-to-powder formula. The liquid foundation is best for drier skin, as it contains the highest levels of hydrating extra virgin olive oil. The power can be used to set make-up, or as a light coverage foundation on its own.
