Best summer foundations for dry skin
If you have normal to dry skin and like light to medium coverage, you’ll probably love my five favourite summer foundations. Here they are:
My all-time favourite foundation is most definitely Chanel Vita Lumiere Aqua Ultra light Skin Perfecting Makeup SPF15 in 20 Beige (R740). It is ultra lightweight, but does a fair job of evening out the complexion. I wear it all day without feeling like I have any foundation on. You can also layer it if you need extra coverage in certain areas.
At the other end of the price scale, my longest used one is the Garnier BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector in Light (R105). I’ve used this since it launched, and have gone through too many tubes to mention. It is light coverage and leaves the skin super glowy.
On days that I need extra help in the radiance department, I reach for my Bourjois Healthy Mix Anti-Fatigue Foundation in Vanilla (R265). It is a medium coverage formula, but with radiance boosting vitamin mix to perk up your complexion.
For extra glow, the only way to go is the Stila Aqua Glow Serum Foundation in Fair Light (R630). It blurs imperfections and smoothes the skin while delivering some serious hydration. It delivers light to medium coverage, but is easily buildable where needed.
My serious ammunition comes in the form of Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Perfectly Nude Makeup SPF15 in Nude (R475), which covers everything without looking or feeling cakey. It’s basically ‘your perfect skin’ in a bottle. I apply it with a damp Beauty Blender, as I find this gives the best finish.

I really wanted to try the Stila, but the shade range wasn’t great, and I am in between shades unfortunately.
I love the Bourjois though!

Argh nooo!
Hate it when that happens – often happens to me with Rimmel. They have a great range, but somehow not always for my skintone.
