Helping hands
I don’t know about the rest of you, but my hands have been abnormally dry this winter. So boy was I glad when Mavala’s latest hand cream landed on my desk.
Mava+Extreme Cream for Hands, despite sounding like something they would dish-out to US Marines, it’s actually really gentle, and not as horrendously clinical as it sounds.
Don’t get me wrong, the arsenal of moisturizing and soothing ingredients it contains pack a serious punch in the face of dryness, but it’s not the nasty greasy ointment you’d image.
Sunflower oil, heart seed and Patterson’s Curse (which is a plant, not an urban legend) combine to create a protective barrier over your skin, while shea butter, vitamin E and Bisabolol (an oil known for its anti-inflammatory properties) help to moisturize, soothe and nourish the skin underneath. It’s also fragrance free, so it won’t irritate your skin either.
Even though it contains a host of oils, it absorbs quickly, and doesn’t leave your hands greasy and sticky.
You’ll find it in Dis-Chem stores now for R199.95 – I think it’s worth the price tag, as a little goes a long way, and this cream will deliver much more than your everyday one.
