G is for Green

The green movement has been steadily growing for the let few years. This year’s hero’s have made big leaps into the market.

BalmBalm is an English company with SOIL Association certification is now available in South Africa. Get your hands on it here.

Two local Eco-Cert certified companies are also making big, green waves. SOiL specialises in home fragrances and body care. Their rose geranium soy wax melts are my favourite product. Esse is a KZN based skin care brand based on Africa’s healing plants.

Another local business that you should all support is HarmlessHouse. A website selling only organic beauty and body care products. Try Sanctum, an Ozzie organic brand. Also have a squizz at Green Love – an online shop selling a range of organic products for health, well being and peace of mind. We likey!

The biggest green hereof the past year has to be The Body Shop, who have finally managed to get the EU to ban animal testing for beauty products. From mid-March all animal testing on both products and ingredients for beauty products will be banned in the EU. Dame Antia would be so very proud of their achievements.
