Happy Holidays with Lancome

Few make-up looks come as festive as Lancôme’s one this year. I asked Andrew James, Lancôme National Make-Up Artist how to get the “Happy Holidays’ look.

The Lancôme Happy Holidays look is gold eyes and red lips with matching red or gold nails.

Start the look with one of three, limited edition, Ombre Hypnôse Mono’s; Brilliant Gold, Taupe Gold or Bronze Gold, R340 each. These single eye shadows can either be dusted on dry, or applied wet for a more intense look.

Next line the eyes with either a taupe gold khol liner like Jazzy Taupe or a rose gold khol liner like France in a Glance, R260 each.

For a more intense look, you could try Les Paillettes aux Yeux, R250 (these are loose shimmering powders) in Rose Gold or Taupe Gold as a tone-on-tone effect, or on their own for a more delicate look.

Lancôme always has good red options when it comes to lipsticks. That’s why they’ve released three limited edition L’Absolu Rouge red lipsticks, R315 each – to make sure there will be one to suit each skin tone.

The final flourish is a festive shot of colour on your nails. The collection has three limited edition Le Vernis nail varnishes, R175 each. It comes in a deep metallic red, pale gold and rose gold. Wear them alone or mix them up.
