Carlton Hair Nails Morgan Taylor Manicure, R190.

Yes, I said Carlton Hair. SA favourite hair chain has launched nail bars in 8 of their stores – with more to follow.

A few weeks ago I gave their new offering a try. I went to Blessings at Canal Walk.

They offer both Morgan Taylor and Gelish mani’s and pedi’s. I opted for a Morgan Taylor mani in Polished Up Punk, as I’d heard so much about the brand, but had never tried it for myself.

The nails table is nestled in a corner of the salon. So you still get the normal Carlton vibe, but you don’t feel like you’re in the way.

I am incredibly fussy about my nails, and normally do them myself, as I always leave salons feeling like I could have done a better job myself.

 

Thankfully this wasn’t the case with Blessings. She was even more meticulous than I normally am. She spent ages getting ride of dry cuticles, hang nails and shaping my nails into the most PERFECT squovals.

 

While waiting for the last coat to dry, we decided to add little dot flowers to one nail on each hand.

I left with gorgeously painted nails and super soft skin. The most amazing thing is that the first chip only appeared on day 6!!! Remember that Morgan Taylor is regular polish – not gel. I have never, ever had a manicure that lasted this long. I finally removed the polish an incredible eight days later. My nails were longer and so much stronger than they had been before. I was so impressed with the results I going to make manicures with Blessgings a monthly treat!
