The Body Shop Voyage Scent Collection
Let yourself be whisked away on a journey of discovery with The Body Shop’s new Voyage fragrance collection.
Five very different scents to envelope and immerse you in five very difference places. Each of the scents come in boxes with traditional designs from their respective countries.
Let’s fly from east to west and start in Fiji (pretty much as far east as you can be). Fijian Water Lotus has water lotus at its heart; a plant that only flowers in the early morning. Mandarin and a hint of sea salt were added to this fresh scent to transport you to the crystal clear waters of the islands.
Next is Japan – the home of the Japanese Cherry Blossom. This scent is inspired by the Hanami (trust the Japanese to have a special name for enjoying flowers in full bloom). Cherry Blossom is joined by sweet magnolia and hinoki wood to create this delicate floral.
From morning flowerers to night ones in the form of the Indian Night Jasmine. This heady floral is joined by sandalwood to create a rich, exotic perfume, evoking dreams of the Kashmiri highlands.
The newest addition to the range is Italian Summer Fig, which transports us to the shore in Puglia on a hot summer’s afternoon. (Also, it’s a dead-ringer for Diptyque Figuier at a fraction of the price!) The comforting notes of sun-ripened fig combine with grape leaf and crocus at the top note; with Tuscan rose the heart and finally oakwood and amber in the base to create my new favourite summer scent.
The last stop on our tour is another favourite of mine, the Atlas mountains, and more specifically the Dades Valley; home of the most beautiful roses. The Atlas Mountain Rose fragrance combines these delicate half-bloomed buds with cassis and Arabian spices to deliver a subtle spicy floral scent.
Each of these scents is available in EDT, R275; Fragrance Mist, R140; Shower Gel, R99; Body Lotion, R140 and Body Cream, R160 variants. All of which are available in all The Body Shop stores now.
