Physicians Formula Argan Wear Makeup

If you are even half as much a fan as I am of argan oil, you’re going to be excited about the latest collection from Physicians Formula.

The brand introduces Argan Wear 100% Pure Argan Oil Ultra-Nourishing Makeup. Wooohoooo!

There are four products in the range: an oil, bronzer, blush and BB Cream. Please take a moment to admire the gorgeous packaging!!

I haven’t tried the BB Cream, but the press release describes it as a ‘luxurious BB Cream.’ The formula is infused with argan oil to nourish, hydrate and plump the skin, while delivering light to medium coverage. It has SPF30, too, which is incredible for a BB Cream. It’s sadly only available at Light and Light/Medium at the moment, so darker skinned girls miss out on this, but the three other products are great for everyone.

I didn’t try the bronzer, either, as it looks a little too sparkly for me. I’m very fair, so prefer matt bronzers. But the formula is the same as the blush, which I have tried and adore.

Although it’s a powder blush, it feels soft and creamy on the skin. It blends easily with a brush or your fingers, giving the complexion a natural glow. From what I can see, the gold is just a press on overlay, and doesn’t run right through the cake, which is no biggie for me, as the pink is a perfect match for my skin tone.

The one I have is the Natural shade, but it also comes in Rose, which is pinker. The Bronzer also comes in two shades: Light Bronzer and Bronzer.

The 100% Argan Oil is a strange one. It’s billed as a moisturiser, primer, brightener, protector and treatment in one. Now I adore argan oil, but I would never have thought of using it as a primer. As a nail and hair treatment or overnight face mask, yes, but under makeup? Never.

Anyway, I gave it a try and was pleasantly surprised with how well it worked. I do think that girls with oily or combination skins would struggle with using it as a primer, but I can’t say for sure. All I know is that my dry skin drank it up and created a smooth base for foundation, and as the oil has strong antioxidant properties, it serves as a serum too.

If using it under makeup isn’t for you, you can use it all over your body (and hair) to hydrate any dry patches. I literally cannot sing its praises enough – it really does do wonders for skin, hair and nails.
