Scholl Velvet Smooth Electronic Nail Care System

Scholl Velvet Smooth Electronic Nail Care System, R490.

What they say: Scholl’s Velvet Smooth Electronic Nail Care System comes with a nail system file with 3 different heads for filing, buffing and shining both toe nails and finger nails.

How to use (It runs on 1 AA battery, which is included)

Step 1: Put the file head on the nail pen, switch it on and choose speed from 2 speed options and file nails in your desired shape.

Step 2: Put on the buff head to even out imperfections and smoothen the nail surface.

Step 3: Put on the shine head and shine the nail surface in a circular motion. Apply light pressure for best results.

What I say: I pretty excited when this landed on my desk. (You may remember what I big fan I am of their Velvet Smooth Electronic Foot File.)

This system was designed to replace all of your other nail care tools (except cuticle pushers). It has three different heads (shape, buff and shine).*

While it does exactly what it says on the box, and I think it’s great idea, I can’t say I’m a total convert, as I like filing my nails with a regular file, and don’t really have a need to buff my nails. BUT if you’re the kind of person who doesn’t like fussing with your nails, but want them looking well-groomed and tidy, this is a must have for you.

Here are the results I got using all three heads:

I also applied a sweep of the Velvet Smooth Nail Care Oil, R140, to keep my cuticles soft.

* You can buy replacement head sets, too for R115.

    Hi Jade

No, I meant you can get the head sets separately as well. The set of 3 heads comes as a set.

    Hope this makes sense,

I wash my hands a lot so my cuticles are always such a disaster! With this tool, its no longer an issue! I use cuticle oil and this tool to push back all my cuticles. Great deal and very useful! I use it all the time.
    Appreciate it!

This tool was amazing for removing gel polish off my natural nail clients. I can see where some may apply too much pressure and remove a layer of the nail plate, but if they pay attention it should not be a problem. Definitely recommend!
