Clarins Extra Firming Mask, R705
What they say: The first relaxing anti-aging mask that helps visibly smooth stress lines and wrinkles, restore firmness, and revive radiance—for younger-looking skin in just 10 minutes! The soothing cream-gel texture, delightful mauve color and relaxing, aromatic plant extracts soothe the senses for a wonderful feeling of well-being.
Clarins’ exclusive pressure point application method acts on 3 areas of the face: forehead, eye zone and facial contours to relieve tension in the face, and smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
What I say: The mask is technically targeted at women over 40, but turns out it works a treat for tired mums as well.
The first thing I noticed was the colour; a beautiful soft lavender. I don’t normally care about the colour of my facemasks, but this does have a calming property that I appreciate. The scent plays a big part in this, too. It has a fresh note that I can’t quite put my finger on, but it gives a real spa-like sensation to the experience.
The idea behind the application is that you pop it onto your skin and wait 10 minutes before giving your face a mini massage using the Clarins Pressure Point Method. I followed these instructions, and my face honestly felt like I’d had a facial.
My skin was left soft, plumped and my complexion visibly brighter. It’s like a good night’s sleep in a jar. Highly recommended for anyone suffering with lack lustre skin.
