Coco Chanel would be delighted with the modern twist her iconic shades have been given this season.
The Coco Codes collection is a fresh look at Gabrielle Chanel’s five favourite shades; white, beige, gold, red and black.
Experimenting with textures, finished and effects, Lucia Pica, Chanel’s Global Creative Makeup and Colour Designer, has created a bold, sophisticated collection that transcends the decades and stays true to the brand’s iconic heritage.
The collection is small, but perfectly curated.
The complexion is brightened thanks to the exquisite Coco Code Exclusive Creation (R1025) and Joues Contraste in Élégance (R720).
The lips steal the show adorned in bold reds and perfect nudes. Rouge Alllure in Ardente and Indépendante, Rouge Allure Velvet in Le Secrète and Libre, and a glossier finish in the form of Rouge Coco Shine in Beige Doré and Noir Modern (R610 each, Beige Doré is a limited edition).
The eyes are contoured with two nude Les 4 Ombre palettes: Codes Élégants and Code Subtils (R920 each, Codes Subtils is a limited edition). And defined with Stylo Yeux Waterproof in Noir Pétrole and Mat Taupe (R450 each, Noir Pétrole is a limited edition).
And finally the nails are topped with either bright red or muted, but both can be topped with a transforming black topcoat. Le Vernis Longue Tenue in Rouge Red, Blanc White and Beige Beige, accompanied by Le Top Coat Longue Tenue in Black Metamorphosis (R450 each, Black Metamorphosis is a limited edition).
