My favourite spring scents
Nothing puts me in the mood for spring more than fresh scents.
We have been spoilt with all of the new fragrance launches this year, and spring brings a fresh new vibe and everyone seems to be happier because the end is in sight!
I thought I’d share my 6 favourite spring scents. Going through the notes, I saw some surprising patterns that I never noticed before. I always thought I was a rose scent fan, and I am, but bergamot, citrus and cedar feature in almost all of them. Hmm. Interesting. Let me know what your favourite spring scents are.
Elizabeth Arden Sunflowers Summer Air EDT 100ml (R445) is this year’s version of the cult classic. This version is fresh, and definitely reminds me of something I used to wear as a teenager. 90s kids, let me know if you figure it out.
Key notes: apple, citrus, rose, jasmine, cedar, amber
CHANEL No. 5 L’Eau EDT 50ml (R1615) fast became my favourite scent after it launched. This is the lighter, younger version of the original No. 5. It’s fresh, but still has deep, comforting notes.
Key notes: citrus, neroli, ylang-ylang, jasmine, cedar, white musk
Sisley Izia EDP 50ml (R1075) was THE fragrance launch of 2017. The scent is soft and floral. I tend to wear it during the day in winter and in the evening during the warmer months. It just reminds me of being in a beautiful rose garden (which is the point).
Key notes: white bergamot, pink pepper, rose, angelica, cedar
Zara Fleuriste a Paris EDT 100ml (sadly not available anymore) was my first Zara fragrance. If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen this already. Zara has the most incredible fragrance offering and all at great prices, too! Go and have a look.
Key notes: bergamot, citrus, peony, musk
L’Occitane Cerisier Pastel Eau Légère EDT 50ml (R690) is the powdery scent in this line-up. I don’t normally gravitate towards powdery scents, but the notes of cherry blossom make this a gorgeous daily scent.
Key notes: pear, cherry, cherry blossom, vanilla
Carolina Herrera 212 Sexy EDP 60ml (R1220) is more of a sweeter floral. I’ve had this for years and years, but I keep my fragrances cool in a dark cupboard, so they last far longer than if you keep them in the light.
Key notes: bergamot, pink pepper, gardinea, geranium, rose, vanilla
