Elizabeth Arden Advanced Ceramide Capsules Daily Youth Restoring Serum (R825 for 60 and R995 for 90)
What they say: Discovered as the secret to younger-looking skin, ceramides are crucial to maintaining the integrity of your moisture barrier, skin’s first defense against aging signs. With age, ceramide levels drop, resulting in visible aging signs.
Advanced Ceramide Capsules help replenish and restore the ceramides your skin needs, but loses with age. They help to moisturize, preserve and strengthen skin’s integrity. An enhanced complex of ceramides reinforces the integrity of skin’s moisture barrier and supports natural lipid levels. Potent botanicals and a retinol derivative promote skin’s natural repair process, diminishing the appearance of aging signs for firmer, smoother, healthy-looking skin.
What I say: I thought these were the absolute business when they first launched! I mean, serum in a capsule? What could possibly be cooler?
Well, these newly formulated versions are just as good, but not only because they are in capsules. Jam-packed with ceramides (three different types, to be exact) to protect and strengthen the skin’s natural protective barrier. The formula contains a host if repairing, age fighting and moisturising ingredients to deliver firm, plump and smooth skin.
The press release promised a noticeable improvement in your skin in just two weeks – which sounded too good to be true. But, here I am, hand on heart, I honestly really did notice a marked improvement in the firmness of my skin in just two weeks of twice daily application.
I was also concerned that applying it so frequently would make my skin break out, but it hasn’t at all. In fact, I think it’s helping my other skin care more effective.
If you are looking for a hard-working serum that delivers relatively instant results, you won’t go wrong with this.
I must mention, however, this is for over 30s only, as you are still pretty well stocked on ceramide in your 20s.
