New look Issy’s
Issy’s on Elizabeth Street in London’s Belgravia has recently under gone a gorgeous revamp, and is now definitely the place where luxury meets haircare in the capital.
Co-owned by the dynamic David Gillson, the salon has 8 stylists and every 6 weeks or so, welcomes the travelling hairstylist extraordinaire, David. Since the revamp, the salon is also home to a manicurist who can primp and groom your nails to perfection while you have your hair done.
Issy’s owners are committed members of the Zero Environmental Impact Salons movement. The salon only uses Davines colour and treatments, all of which are sustainably produced and packaged. At the basins you’ll find the taps fitted with eco-heads and your hair will be dried with Scrummi Eco Towels, which are 15 times more absorbent than traditional towels, and are made from sustainably sourced, 100% biodegradable wood fibre.
The new manicure station is has green credentials, too. The salon does not offer any gel services, opting instead for vegan polish brand, Sundays. Hand and foot care comes from celebrated podiatrist, Margaret Dabbs’ luxurious eponymous brand.
If you’re lucky enough to be in London this season and you’d like to experience the new-look Issy’s, you can get hold of them or book online here.
David will be back there to work his colour magic for the festive season from 16 to 21 December.
