Elizabeth Arden launches another addition to the 5th Avenue collection. 5th Avenue NYC Red EDP was created to capture the beat of the city that never sleeps.
The lights, reflections, taxis, feet on the pavement, the endless pulse that mimics a throbbing heart of the city, this scent was inspired by the heat the city radiates.
Housed in the classic 5th Avenue shaped bottle, the scent reminds me of the early 2000s. It’s a grown-up version of the scents I wore as a fashion assistant – think DKNY Women and Hugo Boss Deep Red.
The top note is sweeter than I’d normally wear with hints of red apple, red currant and pink pepper, but is saved by the addition of bergamot and white freesia. The other two layers are elegant and floral, with a heart of jasmine sambac, violet leaf, orange flower and red dahlia. The base is warm thanks to cashmere wood, amber, vanilla, musk and sandalwood.
