Review | SVR C Masque Anti-Ox
Vitamin C is a powerhouse of skin benefitting properties. Most of us know it for its antioxidant protection and brightening abilities.
Thanks to advancements in encapsulation technology, its now easier to include this notoriously unstable ingredient in more formulas. Product developers are discovering that, in the correct doses, it can deliver not only long-term benefits, but also immediate results.
My most recent discovery of this clever technology is the SVR C Masque Anti-Ox (R750) that contains an incredible 25% optimized Vitamin C which promises a 41% improvement in radiance.
The formula is housed in an aerosol can, which is what allows for such a high concentration of Vitamin C. It is a micro-peeling mousse that delivers radiance and anti-wrinkle benefits to dull, tired skin. The formula also contains gluconolactone to refine the skin, niacin to soothe and a high molecular weight hyaluronic acid to deeply hydrate.
It’s a joy to use, as the mousse texture is quite unique. You shake the can well, dispense the soft yellow mousse into your hands, and massage onto a clean face. It absorbs quickly, so you can carry on with your day while it works its magic (the delicate citrus scent is lovely, too). After 15 minutes, you rinse it off to reveal a brighter, more radiant complexion.
This is an ideal mask for those of us who have trouble sleeping, or have been slack with our acid routines (hand up to both). It will also work as a complexion booster before a big event, even though those are pretty thin on the ground right now. The can is small, but I’ve used mine a dozen times, and there is still product in there. I highly rate it for dull and tired skin!
If you want to get your hands on a can, it’s available at www.riekiemedaesthetic.co.za, www.absoluteskin.co.za or www.shopfomo.com and at selected beauty salons and doctors.
