What a load of Crocs!
What do you think of when you hear “Crocs”? This is what I used to think of:

I have always thought that these should only be worn by the very young, or very old. I still think this, but a delivery a few weeks ago changed my mind about the rest of the brand. In fact, I spent the entire week in Crocs last week. Trust me, you’ll be surprised.

Monday was a gorgeous day, so I was able to wear my Carlie Flats in Khaki Espresso, R499.95. Besides the design of the original ones, I was always worried about them being rubber. Um, plastic shoes, in Africa, really? But they are surprisingy cool and super-comfortable. These were teamed with my cotton cargos.

Tuesday was not as bright, and I was stuck in the office all day, so my jeans and Canvas Hover Laceups in white, R499.95 were the perfect pairing. The best thing about these is their weight. They literally weigh NOTHING!

On Wednesday I had meetings and so much running around to do, the only thing to wear was my Kaela pumps, R399.95 which are comfortable, but look relatively smart too. The micro suede trim is a great design touch.

Thursday saw a mother of a cold front hit the Mother City, so I pulled my Hovers out again, and paired them with my maxi skirt, and hundreds of layers on top.

I went out to Franschoek to visit a few winefarms on Friday, so I opted for my Carlies again, but this time in the Animal Wave pattern. I heart these so much, and can’t wait for summer so I can wear them more often. I teamed them with khaki chinos for a safari feel.

So, yes, that was the week when I wore Crocs every day! No, I never thought I’d say that either, but I love them!
I’ve just spied these gorgeous boots on their site…And I fear I might have to have them too!
