Make-up

In your prime(r)

Revlon has two new products that I think you all should have in your make-up bags.

The two newbies are part of the PhotoReady stable, and will make you make-up routine so much easier. They are both primers – yes, they DO make a difference!

The first one is the Perfecting Primer that they describe as a “lightweight primer smoothes and softens skin to create the perfect canvas. Reduces the appearance of pores and fine lines. Wear alone or under foundation.”

The other is the Color Correcting Primer that “smoothes skin while evening out skin tone with color correcting pigments that neutralize redness and uneven color.”

Now, why am I excited about these you ask? Well, primers make foundation application so incredible easy that once you’ve tried one, you’ll never look back. The best analogy I can think of is painting a smooth, Cretestoned wall vs a rough face brick wall. Which would be easier to paint and which would use less paint? The smooth wall both times, right? Well, that’s what primer does – it creates a beautifully smooth surface on which to work. Primer will make your foundation go on easier, last long and you’ll use much less product in the process.

You could even wear it alone if you wanted to. That’s where the Color Correcting one comes into its own. Many people suffer with redness and uneven skin tone. This primer contains special pigments that can, in essence, cancel-out uneven colour. Once you have en even skin, you can either apply your regular foundation over the top, or use the primer itself as your coverage, and wear it by itself.

Enough reasons? Thought so…
