QMS MediCpsmetics Hydro Foam Mask

What they say: Intensely hydrating this foam mask soaks into the skin within minutes. Silk proteins restore moisture balance making fine lines disappear, Hyaluronic acid leaves skin soft and silky while the anti-inflammatory Jojoba oil calms skin (even from sunburn). Pure relaxation for stressed skin.

What I say: I have quite dry skin so I adore this mask! I do als have to note that I have a soft spot for the founder and creator of the brand, Dr Schulte and his daughter – they are the nicest scientists I have ever met (Joseph Lewis II of Idebenone fame is up there too, FYI.)

The novelty value is great with this mask. You shake the can and squirt the foam out (the consistency is just like hair mousse). Then you apply the foam to your face. The texture is thick enough so that it doesn’t drip and mess everywhere – which is what I thought it might do when I first saw it.

You’d think that it would be strange to have foam on your face, and it is, at first. The gentle popping of bubbles is very relaxing, and for some reason feels like it’s working harder to deeply hydrate your skin. I don’t know if the popping action contributes to the effectiveness, but it seems like it does…

The directions say to leave it on for 15 minutes before massaging the excess into the skin. Mine never lasts 15 minutes – after 10 most of the mask has completely absorbed into my skin.

The results are similar to those you get straight after a facial. My skin is plump, deeply hydrated and looks incredibly radiant – and it stays that way for days afterwards!

I’ve found that using it once or twice a week keeps my skin moisturised enough that I can use much less serum and moisturiser. I really can’t recommend it enough!
