Balm Balm Super Light Coconut Cleanser, R320
What they say: Made from Fractionated Coconut Oil which is mechanically extracted from Virgin Coconut Butter without the use of chemicals, resulting in an incredibly light oil which is easily removed with water.
So gentle that it can be used even for removing eye make up yet when used with a damp muslin cloth will deep cleanse your skin.
What I say: My skin has been playing up spectacularly this month, and for some reason, I felt the need to switch up my cleanser. I found this cleanser over here on Green Goods.
I have to admit that first impressions were not great. The formula is VERY, VERY runny. But once you get used to the speed at which it hurtles out of the bottle, it’s brilliant.
It’s an oil cleanser that you massage into your skin before removing with either damp cotton pads or a muslin cloth. I use the latter as it acts as a gentle exfoliation too.
It lifts dirt and make-up with ease (not waterproof mascara, but I didn’t expect it to). Unlike many oil cleansers, it rinses off easily too, and leaves the skin soft, supple and nourished.
I noticed a difference in my skin after just a few days – it was more radiant, and more importantly, much less spotty!
This now has a permanent place on my bathroom shelf. I can’t say how well it will work for those of you with very oily skin, but dry and normal to combinations skins will love it.
