The Body Shop have been busy little bees this year.
They’ve sent some gorgeous launches over the last few months, so here’s a round up.
First up is the Vitamin E Aqua Boost. The incredibly popular Vitamin E range has been around for over three decades, and to celebrate, they’ve given it a suitably British makeover. The makeover was a limited edition, so there may not be too much stock left.
While I’m a fan of the classic Vitamin E Moisture Cream, I’m totally smitten with the Aqua Boost Sorbet. Each jar holds a crazy 2 million aqua spheres – ensuring serious hydration all day long. The bouncy, light formula is great for dry skin like mine, but will also work a treat on oilier skin in need of some moisture. (Not sure of the difference between dry and dehydrated skin? Read this.)
Then, they’ve launched 4 new collections into their liner range. There really is now a pen or pencil for every and any look.
The new Matte Kajals, R120 each (available in black and white) are highly pigmented, black rose-infused liners that are suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers. The packaging is new and exciting for The Body Shop and I’m sure are going the black one especially is going to sell like hot cakes.
If bold, glossy pinup flicks are your thing, the Bold Oversized Felt Eyeliner, R150 (only available in Black) is what you’ve been waiting for. Create any manner of bold lines with this gentle felt tip.
The two launches I’ll be using the most, however, are the Skinny Felt Liner, R120 (also only available in Black), which is the same as the Oversized one, just super skinny. The other is the Velvet Gel Pen Liners, R120 each (available in Black and Brown at the moment, with Turquoise launching later in the year). The formula is soft and blendable, but because it’s also waterproof, once dry will stay put all day.
And finally, who’s up for a bit of sun? Me too, but sadly we still have a few months to go until the sun returns, but we can fake a sun-kissed glow with Honey Bronze. The three product strong collection will have you bronzed to perfection in no time.
The Face Gel, R120 delivers a subtle hint of colour without any streaking or orange hue. The gel texture is light and hydrating and suitable for all skin types.
My favourite is the Highlighting Dome, R145. This nifty pot makes highlighting cheeks as easy as pie. It gives the complexion a natural-looking glow without any dreaded shimmer.
And last but not least, should you have to bare your legs for some reason, forget faffing with self-tan, simply spritz your legs with the Tinted Leg Mist to give your skin an instant bronze glow.
