Three cheers for the latest in the Chance collection. Its new perfumer, Olivier Polge wanted to create a fresh, uplifting and energising scent; one full of joie de vivre, if you will.
He’s absolutely on point with his creation. Eau Vive means the scent of life and the delicate notes he’s managed to create really do fill you with vigour.
The fresh and fruity top notes of Blood Orange, Grapefruit and other citrus accords give way to a delicate floral heart of Jasmine and White Musk. The finish is the most unexpected for me, seeing Vetiver and Cedar joining Iris to create a warm, comforting base. This is very similar to all the other base notes in the Chance family, but somehow it’s softer in this version.
