What they say: Argan Oil is an oil produced from the kernels of the Argan tree, endemic to Morocco. It is valued for its nutritive and cosmetic properties.
Pure and natural Argan Oil has been used in Morocco for centuries to nourish and protect the skin, hair and nails. Argan Oil contains natural tocopherols (vitamin E), essential fatty acids and antioxidants.
• Nourishes dry damaged hair
• Helps repair & rejuvenate
• Smoothes & eliminates frizz
• Gives protection & shine
What I say: You all know how much I love argan oil, so when this range landed on my desk, I had to try it immediately. There are 5 products in the range: Shampoo, Conditioner, Hydrating Mask, Oil Treatment and Leave In Spray. I’m mightily impressed with how high up the ingredients list the argan oil is on all the products considering the price point.
The Shampoo and Conditioner are great. They leave the hair soft and silky without weighing it down – which is what often happens to my fine hair.
The Mask needs to be left on for at least 5 minutes to be effective (the jar says 7 – 10 mins), so it isn’t a quick mask. But the results are worth the wait. It leaves the hair nourished and much more manageable.
The Hair Treatment is oil that you apply in the same way you would Moroccanoil. This one doesn’t absorb as quickly as Moroccanoil, but really isn’t a bad dupe, considering it’s almost a sixth of the price. Apply to wet or dry hair to nourish and control frizz. It smells just like baby powder, which you get whiffs of during the day.
The Heat Defence Leave In Spray is my favourite product in the collection. Simply spray through wet hair and style as usual. It isn’t sticky at all, and leaves your hair smooth and frizz free.
I have a full Argan Oil hair hamper of all 5 products to give away to one reader. To stand a chance of winning, share a pic of your favourite winter hair style with me on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram tagging it #RougeArganOil
Entries close at 5pm on Friday 26th June 2015. The giveaway is only open to South African residents. Read my full Ts&Cs here.

This is exactly what I need right now to revive my poor locks which have taken a real beating, first from using a hair dye that has left my hair dry and thirsty and secondly from days at the beach recently which seem to have worsened the problem, eek!

Hi Memory
Yikes, that sounds uncomfortable. I would suggest you go and see a doctor to find out what it is before you try and treat it.
Good luck!
