Environ Focus Care range
Environ has recently expanded their range to address more targeted skin care issues.
Whenever anyone asks me where they should start with a full skincare routine, or if they have sensitive skin, I always recommend Environ. I have used the range for years, and is in my opinion, the best value for money range on the market. It’s a comprehensive range that first aims to normalize your skin. Many people have an impaired barrier, and you cannot have healthy skin if your barrier is damaged. Once you have a strong barrier, you can then start looking at your specific concerns. Retinol is at the heart of the brand, and Dr Des (the founder and scientific director, and one of my heroes) says that everyone should be using it in their skin care routines. Vitamin A is the gold standard in anti-aging thanks to its ability to protect the skin against free radical damage and stress. It also helps your skin renew, creating a luminous complexion.
The brand has expanded the range into a more comprehensive offering, with 3 target areas, and one very exciting tool. The Focus Care collection is made up of Youth+, Moisture+ and Comfort+ products.
Youth+ targets aging and the main actives are retinol and peptides. There are 6 products in the range: Peptide Enriched Frown Serum (R1627), Tri-Peptide Complex Avance Moisturiser (R1345), Tri Biobotanical Revival Masque (R1020), Concentrated Alpha Hydroxy Toner (R355), Tri-Peptide Complex+ Avance Elixir (R1360) and with 3 levels of the Concentrated Retinol Serum (R475 – R575).
Moisture+ delivers balanced hydration to dry and dehydrated skin. There are 4 products in this range: Vita-Complex Super Moisturiser (R455), HA Intensive Hydrating Serum (R810), Alpha Hydroxy Night Cream (R385) and the Vita-Antioxidant Hydrating Oil Capsules (R730), which I use with my Cosmetic Gold Roll-CIT (R2835) for maximum penetration.
Comfort+ is a nourishing pair of products for sensitive skin. The Vita-Enriched Antioxidant Gel (R435) provides protection against free radical damage, and the Vita-Enriched Colostrum Gel (R475) boosts the skin’s immunity for extended protection and soothing.
The last addition is the incredibly exciting Electro-Sonic DF Mobile Device (R6500), an at-home version of Dr Des’ high successful combination of low frequency sound waves and electronic current. I go for regular environ facials, and always have this treatment, as it boosts circulation and helps products penetrate far more effectively. This device has been designed to be used with whichever Focus Care Serum best suits your needs.
