Nuxe fans, pay attention. The brand has reformulated the iconic Crème Prodigieuse range, and it’s fabulous!
A modern take on the classic range, the new Crème Prodigieuse Boost is a 4 product strong collection, which at its heart, is jasmine and calendula based. The formulas are light and non-greasy and are aimed at skin that needs an antioxidant boost. The entire range has it’s own fragrance, too (so if you’re not a fan of scented skincare, this isn’t for you). It’s a delicate combination of Jasmine, lychee and white rose that was created by the brand’s in-house nose.
As with all Nuxe products, the range is botanical (91% natural ingredients) and harnesses the plants’ natural properties to treat and hydrate the skin. Each extract is carefully chosen for its effectiveness, efficacy and safety. The brand prides itself on being a market leader in botanical research and holds an impressive 45 patents within its formulas, which is a lot for a company only 29 years old.
Crème Prodigieuse Boost Energising Priming Concentrate (R425). This gel-like serum is a perfect day serum thanks to the hydrating, plumping and protecting actives. Hyaluronic acid hydrates the skin, and an antioxidant complex containing Jasmine flower and vitamin C help to protect from free radical damage and fight pigmentation.
CrèmeProdigieuse Boost Multi-Correction Silky Cream (R495) (there is also CrèmeProdigieuse Boost Light Cream (R495) for normal to combination skin). Both of these contain the antioxidant complex to protect from free radical damage. I prefer the Silky Cream, as it’s a richer formula than the Light Cream, but oilier skin will prefer the latter. I found that after a few weeks of use, my skin was far more balanced, with fewer dry areas and improved texture.
Crème Prodigieuse Boost Multi-Correction Eye Balm Gel (R425). I really only ever use eye cream anymore, and if I do, it’s only to test one that caught my eye. The ‘balm’ in the name of this one is what made me try it. My eye area is a problem for me, so I treat it with the same (strong) product as the rest of my face. This formula was wonderful to use in the morning to brighten up the area. It worked well under makeup (if left to absorb sufficiently), and kept the skin hydrated all day. I didn’t like it at night, though, as it was just too rich, and left me with puffy morning eyes.
If your skin is tired and lack lustre, this is the range for you. And if all that wasn’t enough, all the products are 100% biodegradable and all the (beautiful) packaging is 100% recyclable.
You’ll find the Nuxe Crème Prodigieuse Boost range at selected Woolworths and Truworths stores nationwide, as well as Woolworths online.
