I’ve had the prettiest summer thanks to essence.
I shot these images last year, and have been happily testing and using them all and realised that I hadn’t done a single post on them (sorry Cindy!).
So here it is – the best and brightest summer ever was brought to me by essence. Face, eyes, and lips were all give the fruity treatment with these ah-ma-zing products.
Silky Touch Blush is just that – silky to the touch. The colour pay-off from this lightweight powder is just incredible!
The Sun Club All-In-One Bronzing Highlighter was a godsend on crazy hot days as it stayed put all day long.
The Blush Stick, however, is my favourite. The creamy formula feels wonderful on my dry skin, and the stick packaging makes for easy application.
Metallics were big news this summer, and the trend is set to continue into winter, so I’m holding onto these Metal Glam shadows.
The Eye Sorbet was the best find in this haul. It’s a gel/mousse like texture that glides on super easily and lasts all day long! What more could you possibly want from an eye shadow?
All About Matt! No, not a chic flick, but their latest offering in the foundation department. This foundation kept my skin shine-free even at the beach! If you have oily or problem skin, I highly recommend it!
The Kabuki Brush just makes me smile every time I use it!
The bronze Stays No Matter What Jumbo Eye Pencil was the product I used the most this season. I love bronze on my eyes, and this pencil made it easier than ever to achieve. Once the formula has set, it will not come-off until you take make-up remover to it.
The same goes for the I Love Smokey Jumbo Eye Pencil. The best way yet to create a smokey eye – in minutes! The texture is so soft and silky, even a novice can create gorgeous cat-like peepers.
The Crystal Eyeliner was my least favourite, but only because I’m not a fan of full-on glitter. Although it did come in rather useful for the few dress-up parties I had and our staff party at Rocky Horror!
I’ve spoken about the Mini LipGloss Sets before – they are just amazing for your handbag, pocket, wherever.
The new Glow Tinted Lip Balm was another winner – hydrating the lips while delivering a subtle hint of colour. Perfect for cocktail hour!
The scent of the Strawberry Cheesecake Glossy Lipbalm was incredible!
Long Lasting Lipstick in All You Need is Red has become my favourite red lippies, and is actually almost finished. The formula is creamy and not at all drying like other long lasting formulas.
The mascaras were great. The Lash Mania Reloaded delivers an incredible false lash effect, while the Get Big Lashes does just that – serious volume with one sweep of a brush.
I liked the Go Wild Lashes most, though. The brush has a unique 5-ball shape that manages to catch and coat every single lash, making the best of all your lashes!
I’m sure essence will have utterly amazing collections for winter, so keep an eye out for them in Clicks, Dis-Chem and selected Hub and MediRite stores.
