Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water for Sensitive Skin

What they say: Like a magnet, the cleansing agents capture and lift away dirt from the skin. No need to rub to remove impurities and make-up.

The Result: Perfectly cleansed and refreshed skin without rubbing or rinsing.

Use in the morning to refresh skin. Use at night to remove make-up, cleanse and soothe.

Micellar Cleansing Water comes in a generous 400ml format for up to 200 uses*.

*Based on 2ml per cotton pad.

What I say: I feel sorry for any product launching that is in direct competition to Bioderma Sensibio.

I really wanted this to be mind blowing, and although it wasn’t bad, it won’t be replacing my Sensibio.

The good points are that it comes in a huge 400ml bottle, making it wonderful value for money. It also works a treat on regular, everyday makeup.

Where it falls down is that it just doesn’t move waterproof mascara or heavy coverage foundation. I had to use quite a lot of the generous bottle to get rid of all my foundation after a night out, and all it did to my waterproof mascara was kind of smudge it into a waxy mess all over my eyes.

The other thing I didn’t like about it is its stickiness. It claims to be a no-rinse formula, but I just didn’t find this to be true. My skin didn’t feel clean after using it. I still had to rinse my face afterwards.

All in all, it isn’t a bad product, and if you’re a natural make-up kind of girl, you’ll love it.

I wear waterproof mascara every day, which Bioderma handles with ease, so I won’t be replacing it any time soon. Yes, it’s considerably more expensive, but I use less of it and it works better for my routine.

Oh, and there is a Pure Active version for girls with combination and oily skin.
