Bodyography Pro Ready, Set, Go Makeup Setting Spray, R340

What they say: A fresh face of makeup is a confidence booster for every woman, but that fresh face can fade throughout the day leaving a less than desirable look. Ensure makeup looks like new for hours with Bodyography Ready, Set, Go Makeup Setting Spray. The PETA approved, cruelty-free makeup brand has launched a spray which can be applied before or after makeup application to prep and set your look, for long-lasting staying power. The Ready, Set, Go spray application is not only easy to use, it is perfect for an on-the-go pick me up.

What I say: I’m all for these water-like primers and setting sprays that have been hitting the market recently. My dry skin loves them and they don’t clog pores like traditional primers can.

This one from Bodyography is as good as my current favourite (the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water), although I prefer the scent of the Smashbox one. The difference between the two (although they both say they can be used before and after makeup application) is that the Smashbox is better as a primer and this one as a setting and booster spray.

The packaging is very simple and inoffensive, which I like, as I’m not fussed at what a setting spray is housed in. What I do take note of is how fine the spray is – this one’s good and delivers a super fine mist to the face (no drippy, soggy complexions here).

It leaves the skin feeling hydrated and soft (even with full coverage foundation), and does the same when applied half way through the day. It perks up the complexion and makes your makeup look like you’ve just applied it.

If you’re in the market for a setting spray, you can’t go wrong with this one, and it’s R60 cheaper than it’s Smashbox competitor.
