What I say: The original liquid Teint Idole has been my favourite Lancôme foundation for ages, and this has far surpassed it. I’ve basically worn it every day since it landed on my desk.

Let’s start with the obvious genius of the product. A liquid foundation, but housed in a compact (with a mirror) makes for great portability and the fact that it’s refillable? Well, that’s just unheard of. Already a winner in my books.

You apply pressure to the mesh cushion to release the foundation onto the sponge. I have to admit that I was dubious about the sponge when I first saw it, as I have literally NEVER used applicators that come with products because they are as useful as ashtrays on motorbikes, but this is different.

Although the foundation applies well with a beauty blender, brush, or even your fingers, I find that the sponge it comes with is delivers the best finish.

Now, the finish; it’s beautiful, dewy and almost invisible. I’m not going to lie, I think that oily skin will struggle with it, as the formula is quite liquid and the finish is more satin velvet than matte. So if you are looking for full oil blocking results, this isn’t for you.

However, my dry skin adores it. It covers blemishes, evens out skin tone and gives a radiant glow to the skin, without feeling cakey or tight. It doesn’t settle into pores, but creates a veil over the skin that looks incredibly natural. It lasts all day with a primer water underneath and because it covers so well, there is little need for concealer.

Basically, if you have dry to normal skin, you should get a tester of this as soon as you can. It’s available in 7 shades and is available at all Lancôme counters as well as online now.
