CHANEL Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint

I mentioned in my last post that because my skin has been so good, I’ve been passing on foundation most days. When I do want to even out my skin a bit, I’ve been reaching for the new CHANEL Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint.

I’ve seen a few people online getting upset about the coverage because it’s been incorrectly called a foundation – it isn’t a foundation, it’s a tint, as it clearly states in the name. If you are looking for coverage, rather than glow and an even complexion, then look for something like the CHANEL Ultra Le Teint.

This innovative formula is made up of 75% water and is infused with tiny microspheres of pigment, which burst to blend into the skin seamlessly. The formula is incredibly lightweight and delivers a comforting boost of hydration.

The CHANEL Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint comes with its own brush (a mini version of their cult favourite 2-in-1 Foundation Brush), which is the best way I found to apply it. I dispense a few pumps onto the back of my, blend to burst the pigment spheres and then apply to my face with the brush. It adds a subtle hint of colour and evens out the skin to give your complexion a sheer, healthy glow. I’ve tried applying it with my fingers, but find the spheres don’t disperse as well. I’ve also used it as a hydrating primer under foundation, and it worked beautifully. But my favourite way to wear it is alone with a bit of mascara, some bronzer and a lip stain.

This is probably all I’ll be using on my face this summer. If you want to give it a try, there are 5 shades available: Light, Light Deep, Medium, Medium Plus and Dark. You’ll find it all CHANEL counters, as well as online for R1110 for 30ml.
