Elizabeth Arden Advanced Ceramide Capsules Eye Serum

A few months ago Elizabeth Arden delighted me with the relaunch of the iconic Advanced Ceramide Capsules Daily Youth Restoring Serum.

Now they’re at it again with the launch of Advanced Ceramide Capsules Daily Youth Restoring Eye Serum. I know! Mind. Blown.

Just like their facial counterparts, these babies are absolutely jam-packed with anti-aging actives to restore collagen and moisture levels while banishing fine lines, wrinkles and puffiness.

The skin around our eyes is much thinner than the rest of our face, so is more susceptible to the signs of aging. Ceramides were the obvious choice, as they makes up nearly 50% of the lipids found in the area, but decrease rapidly with age. This means we need specialized skincare to keep the area supple and plump.

The formula targets these issues in three ways:

Barrier protection thanks to 3 ceramides, cholesterol, fatty acids, lipids and sea fennel extract.

Moisturisation comes from vitamin E and a new botanical complex containing coconut oil and olive and Alfalfa extracts.

Anti-aging protection comes in the form of Tsubaki oil, vitamin A palmitate, peptides, and hops and Butcher’s Broom extracts.

You use them the same way you do the facial capsules – simply twist off the top and tap onto the skin. There is quite a lot of product in each capsule and at first seems like too much. But if you send a few minutes massaging it into your skin, it will all absorb (the lymphatic drainage you’ll give yourself will do wonders, too).

They can be applied both morning and evening, but I prefer to use them overnight, as I find regular eye cream quicker to use in the morning.

The Advanced Ceramide Capsules Daily Youth Restoring Eye Serum starts hits shelves tomorrow, and will come in a bottle of 60 capsules for R655.
