Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Replenishing Cleansing Oil

Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Replenishing Cleansing Oil (R495 for 200ml)

What they say: Ceramide Replenishing Cleansing Oil is an excellent solution for both removing makeup, even waterproof mascara and eyeliner, and dissolving impurities from skin, all while nourishing skin with essential lipids to leave it feeling clean, soft, and smooth. An extension of the skin-barrier supporting Ceramide product line, Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Replenishing Cleansing Oil fuses the emollient, antioxidant and conditioning properties of Apricot, Safflower and Olive Oils to dissolve cosmetic debris and sebum, while repairing the skin’s barrier layer. When massaged into the skin it effectively cleanses the skin without leaving it feeling dry or tight. Suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin, Ceramide Replenishing Cleansing Oil doesn’t leave behind an oily residue or clog pores, resulting in a fresh, healthy looking complexion that is never dry or greasy.

What I say: Let me start off by saying that I’ve always been a huge fan of oil and balm cleansers, as they don’t foam, which means they don’t dry out my already dry skin. So you can imagine my excitement when this landed on my desk!

I’d been using the Clinique Take The Day Off Balm, which I like, but find that it makes my eyes quite blurry for a while after I rinse it off, which, while it doesn’t sting, can’t be good for my eyes. Enter the Ceramide Replenishing Cleansing Oil. It removes ALL traces of makeup (even my waterproof mascara) and doesn’t affect my eyes at all. It’s so nourishing and hydrating that my skin feels like I’ve applied a serum after using it.

The 200ml bottle will last you absolutely ages, as you only need one pump (maybe two if you have a full face of makeup) per cleanse. If you shy away from foaming cleansers too, you really should give this one a go – it really is the best one I’ve tried. It’s available at all Elizabeth Arden counters and online here.
