Filorga Time Flash Express Smoothing Active Primer (R660)
What they say: New Time-Flash Express Smoothing Active Primer is a double-action primer that provides a instant smoothing effect along with the added benefit of long-term anti-wrinkle treatment.
Lift action: three-dimensional polysaccharides form a tightening film on the skin’s surface to instantly smooth fine lines.
Blur action: blurring agents refine the pores and skin texture.
A combination of 4 active ingredients; skin-relaxing hexapeptide, collagen booster, peel-like active ingredient and hyaluronic acid booster, act on all types of wrinkles (contraction, deep, surface and dry) for a long-lasting smoother skin.
What I say: I have to admit that I’m always a bit dubious when brands venture out of their ‘comfort zones’. A skincare brand should, generally, stick to skincare and not dabble in makeup. But, of course, Filorga has done it with aplomb because this is probably the most active primer you’ll ever use.
It absolutely does instantly smooth and even the complexion, creating a filter-like effect. It blurs away any fine lines and pores, creating a super smooth texture on the skin. The finish is more velvet than the usual silicone slip of primers, but not in any way drying. It makes for easy foundation application, as the formula enables it to blend effortlessly, and without sitting in any dry patches. It made my normal light-weight foundation last hours longer than usual, and seemed to help it look better the longer I wore it.
This would be reason enough for me to buy it, as it works beautifully on its own on no-makeup days. But the added host of skincare benefits takes it into another league. I’ve been using it everyday for 3 weeks now, and I can’t say I’ve noticed a marked improvement in fine lines yet, but my complexion definitely looks brighter and my skin is plumped.
I personally wouldn’t reply on a primer to work as my main skincare treatment, but it definitely can’t hurt. And it is great for those of you who don’t have time for or can’t be bothered with a multi-step morning routine.
