Sisley Phyto-Lip Delight

I love matte lipstick, but I feel there needs to be a more lip-friendly option, especially in winter.

Sisley has just launched a collection that is the perfect alternative. Say hello to Phyto-Lip Delight, a gel-balm that is as much skincare as it is makeup.

The formula contains 3 nourishing oils as well as Padina Pavonica extract (a brown algae) which is known for its water attracting and moisturising fatty acids. These hard working actives mean that your lips will be moisturised, plumped, nourished and protected while having a hint of colour.

The doe-foot applicator makes for quick and easy application that won’t require a mirror. The finish is glossy, but not at all sticky (which is why I prefer it over the Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil). It is almost silky – bizarre, but I think it’s the gel-like part of the formula that delivers this feeling.

It lasts ages considering the finish – I got to about the 4 hour mark before feeling like I had to reapply. After wearing it for a full week, my lips were definitely in much better condition than they were before.
