Those of you who read my blog more than once will know I’m fanatical about sun protection.
It’s just a no-brainer for me. Sun damage is one of the biggest culprits in skin ageing, and it’s SO easy to prevent, yet so many people just don’t get it!
The latest SPF product to come into my radar is a wonderful tinted version from Bioderma (the same peeps who make the best makeup remover in the world). Photoderm Max SPF50 Tinited Aquafluid for Sensitive Skin is a godsend for girls like me who hate wearing full foundation on a daily basis.
Not only does the formula provide high UVA and UVB protection, it also contains a patented complex called Cellular Bioprotection that actually activates your skin’s natural sun defences while you’re wearing it. This helps reduce the risk of cellular damage as well as photoaging.
There are sadly only two shade offerings (Light and Golden), but the formula is designed for very fair skin that is exposed to extreme sun conditions (like ours).
The tint is similar to that of a BB Cream, so if you want serious coverage, you’ll have to look elsewhere. Although I have tested it under other foundations, and it works as a great base, should you still want the SPF protection.
